ALPHABETARIA

Two examples of Greek schoolbooks children learn the Greek script from. The first was used until the early seventies while the second that replaced it, is still in use nowadays. Children copy the text from the books trying to imitate the shapes used. The first and older book is set in a type based on New Hellenic and cut by Kostas Grammatopoulos (1916-2004) who also did the illustrations, while the second uses the initial version of Helvetica Greek, designed by Matthew Carter.
